Robin Rainbow-Color Mixing

     On Friday we did a color mixing activity. Students were given a cup each of red, yellow, blue dye and a cup of water and a pipette. Students also had a 6 x 4 plastic tray. Their first challenge was to create 24 different colors using the primary colors. At first they thought it was impossible but they were all able to do that. Their second challenge was to either create 24 different greens or the write a recipe for a color and have someone replicate it. For instance, for this color, which they could name, add 4 drops of blue and 2 drops of yellow. Below are photos from that day.
